CC Ground Investigations Limited were engaged as part of the team delivering the ground investigation to determine ground conditions at Barnetby Sidings, Lincolnshire.

Project Details

Four exploratory hole boreholes were carried out using a CCGI Fraste multi-purpose rotary drilling rigs, along with a programme of trial pitting, soakaway and DCP testing.

The program of works included:

  • 4 No rotary boreholes using a Fraste multipurpose rig.
  • In-situ SPT testing
  • Installation of gas and groundwater monitoring standpipes.
  • 21 Trial pits
  • 3 Soakaways
  • 35 TRL DCPs
  • Geotechnical and Geo-environmental laboratory testing
  • Gas and Ground water monitoring
