Project Summary

CC Ground Investigations Limited were engaged by the housebuilder to deliver geotechnical ground investigation data for the design of a new highway overbridge, attenuation ponds, a roundabout, and a noise bund.

Project Details

Twenty-three exploratory hole locations were carried out using a CCGI Fraste multi-purpose rotary drilling rigs, windowless sampler rig and mechanical excavator.

The program of works included:

  • CCGI providing Principal Contractor drilling and engineering services
  • 4 No rotary boreholes using Fraste multipurpose rigs.
  • 8 No Windowless Sampler boreholes.
  • In-situ testing including SPTs
  • 11 Trial Pits
  • 4 No Groundwater monitoring standpipes installed.
  • Geotechnical laboratory testing
  • Groundwater monitoring and sampling
