A Day in The Life: CCGI Graduates

CCGI recently visited the Eijkelkamp Fraste UK Open Day at their new premises in Kidderminster. Attendees including industry professionals, clients, and partners, were able to meet the UK  Eijkelkamp Fraste team along with their colleagues from Royal Eijkelkamp and Fraste. The event provided an opportunity to learn more about the company products and services including drilling rigs and insitu testing equipment.

Part of the CCGI delegates included four graduates from the engineering team. As newcomers to the ground investigation industry CCGI believe that by providing graduates the opportunity to visit open days, seminars and lectures they will rapidly appreciate the wide range of tools available and increase their experiences and competencies.

Engineering geologist Will Osman summarised his day:

We were pleasantly greeted on arrival and had several pleasant interactions throughout the day with both Fraste employees and other attendees, along with excellent hospitality.

We attended several different seminars highlighting the work that Fraste is currently conducting and their new products ranging from water monitoring equipment and systems to new and improved sonic drilling rigs. It was an interesting selection of information as much of it was completely new to me, including sonic drilling.

Each talk was full of information but the one that stood out to me the most was the water quality. The idea of storing large amounts of water underground in case of drought and the process in which this could be engineered was incredibly interesting and the highlight of the day.

Overall, I found the entire day exciting and intriguing. Thank you Eijkelkamp Fraste UK!
