Project Summary

A ground investigation was required to provide geotechnical data for the design of remedial works on a rail cutting.

Project Details:

Twenty-seven exploratory locations were carried out using CCGI Fraste rotary rigs, a CCGI windowless sampler rig and hand pitting.

The program of works included:

  • CCGI providing engineering services
  • 5 No rotary boreholes.
  • In-situ testing including SPTs
  • Rope access to locations on the slope.
  • 3 No Windowless Sampler boreholes.
  • 19 No Test pits
  • 19 No Dynamic probes
  • Geotechnical laboratory testing.
  • Factual Reporting
