We all know the importance of continued development and training and CCGI recently held a Soil and Rock Description training event for all our Engineering Geologists.
The event was run by the hugely respected Michael H de Freitas, PhD, DIC, CGeol, C.WEM of First Steps Ltd who is an Emeritus Reader in Engineering Geology at Imperial College London as well a Ground Engineering Advisor (Register of Ground Engineering Professionals) and expert witness.
“The day was a great opportunity to talk through the finer details of geotechnical logging with an expert in the field” commented CCGI QHSE Manager, Alistair Cima.
“From the Juniors new to the industry to the Senior Engineers, everyone learnt a huge amount. Being able to have the range of soils and rock examples that CCGI have at hand proved to be a really helpful practical training aid, and ensures that we maintain the quality of the data the CCGI produce”, continued Alistair.
